The reclaimed 1940'S door includes original hardware. I trimmed out the panels, stripped and sanded it down to bare wood, and stained it with an English Chestnut finish. The design was inspired from our neighbor's gorgeous Weeping Cherry Tree and it was recently displayed at the Del Ray Artisans Exhibit in Alexandria, VA.
There are 88 leaves in this piece that were individually cut, foiled, and soldered. The glass-work is made with Spectrum Clear Barnwood, and Youghiogheny Beige/Lime and Turquoise Stipple, and trimmed in Zinc Came. Discreetly added LED lights to the back of the door for continuous lighting.
Stunning against a wall or can be propped in the corner of a room.
